Who we are

What this Service does

Cash Allocation Guide is a read-only advisory tool. With your authorization, it connects to your QuickBooks Online company and reads financial reports to recommend how to allocate a period's available cash. The Service never moves money, never initiates transactions, and never writes to your QuickBooks. A person always makes any transfers.

What data we access

With your consent, we connect to QuickBooks Online using Intuit's OAuth and request read-only access under the Accounting scope only. Through that access we read financial report data such as your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. We do not request or use any write access, and we do not request scopes beyond Accounting.

Why we access it

We use your QuickBooks data for a single purpose: to generate cash-allocation recommendations for you: how to distribute a period's available cash across priorities such as taxes, operating reserves, obligations, and owner distributions. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

What we store

• The financial report data needed to generate and explain your recommendations.
• An encrypted QuickBooks access credential (used to read your data on your behalf).

Access credentials are encrypted at rest. We retain QuickBooks-connected business data while the account is active and for up to 90 days after disconnection or account closure, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, backup, or compliance reasons.

Who we share it with

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data for advertising.
• We use trusted infrastructure providers (a cloud database provider and an application-hosting provider) to operate the Service. They process data only on our behalf and under agreement.
• We disclose data only if required by law.

Your controls

• You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, which removes our stored access to your company.
• You may request deletion of your stored data by emailing support@edwardmarshall.com.

Security

We use OAuth 2.0, request least-privilege read-only access, encrypt stored credentials at rest (AES-256-GCM with a dedicated key), and serve the application over HTTPS. We use no QuickBooks webhooks.

Children's data

The Service is a business tool and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post the revised version here with an updated date.
